Andy and his wife Sally moved to Urchfont from Marlborough in 2004.
Andy enjoyed a career in the film industry, as a CAA licenced Helicopter Operator specific to aerial filming. He completed over 200 film projects, including 5 Bond movies and numerous Harry Potter together with other block busters. The best project was being asked by Danny Boyles team to be involved in the opening ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics, including being responsible for the “Queen” making her famous parachute jump.
He has been on the UPC before and is really pleased to have the opportunity of returning to serve the village, now he is retired, and has more time to devote to his responsibilities. Currently he is looking after Highways. He is a regular visitor at the shop coffee hub on a Friday morning.
